Disappointing run from Prompter yesterday who cruised up to the leader approaching two out and then either failed to go through with his effort or struggled to get the extended two mile trip having pulled very hard early in the race.

One competitive meeting today at Newton Abbot and there is no selection.

If we ignore the second run of Prompter when a heavily back favourite at Market Rasen the form of his first run at Southwell behind Cape Express and Harvey’s Hope, both easy winners since, looks good enough to take this given he is receiving weight from his market rivals. At the price it is worth the risk that the 2^nd run flop was just a one off.

One meeting today at Stratford. With short priced favourites in the non handicaps and competitive handicaps on which I have no strong opinions there is no bet.

Blogging Will Resume Tomorrow 1st August

Due to unforeseen circumstance I have been unable to blog since the middle of April but plan to start again from tomorrow. Since my last post in April I have only had three bets with two winners showing a 1.05PT profit leaving the YTD figure at a loss of 5.42 PT’s. Given in the past 5 years I have averaged over  40PT’s profit per year I have some challenge over the next few months and hopefully you will join me on  my journey to deliver a reasonable level of profit for the year.
